Waterbird Fund

Supporting long-term monitoring across the flyways for conservation of migratory waterbirds

About

Established in 2016, the Waterbird Fund is for everyone who shares our dedication to essential long-term waterbird monitoring activities and the conservation actions these support. The Fund is managed by Wetlands International, in collaboration with hundreds of organisations and individuals around the world. The Fund is endorsed by several multilateral environmental agreements and frameworks, including the Convention on Migratory Species, the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, the UNEP African-Eurasian Waterbird Agreement (AEWA), CAFF’s Arctic Migratory Bird Initiative and the East Asian –Australasian Flyway Partnership.

“The fund will support fundamental long-term monitoring activities across the flyways that are essential to the conservation and sustainable management of migratory waterbirds”
